| PHONE CARD GLOSSARY |
- Access number
- To use prepaid phone cards you should dial a 10 or 11 digits number. It is access number. It usually begins with 800, 866, 877 or 888 (a Toll Free number). There are also Local Access numbers (not for all prepaid phone cards) that are local for fixed areas and territories.
- Connection Fee
- This payment is deducted from phone card's balance when the connection is established. Connection fee decreases the fixed number of minutes on the phone card. We have no connection fees on the vast majority of our phone cards.
CSC code(Credit/Debit card security code) -is the last 3 digits printed as usual in the signature field after the account number on the back of your Credit/Debit card.
- Destination number
- the telephone number you want to dial.
For international phone calls: 011- the country code- the number;
internal calls: 1- the area code - the number.
- Local Access number
- a local telephone number for particular territories. It is the access number for some prepaid phone cards. The customers use Local Access Numbers to reduce costs of the cards and to get better rates.
- Maintenance Fee
- The fee that applies to the phone card's balance by the phone card providers if there is balance on the card. This fee is not charged on your credit card. Maintenance Fees usually start charging within 24 hours after the finishing of first phone call, and usually deducted by midnight (the Eastern Standard time). We have no maintenance fees on the vast majority of our phone cards.
- PayPhone
- A public/private located outdoors or indoors. It accepts encoded credit cards or coins. You can use our Phone Cards from any payphone in the Continental USA.
Pay-Phone Surcharge - It is a surcharge that is deducted from the phone card's balance when you call from a payphone.
- PIN Free Access
- You register your phone number with us, if you buy a Refillable phone card. When you enter the Access number while dialing from the registered phone, you do not have to enter your PIN because the system recognizes you automatically.
- PIN
- Personal Identification Number of the phone card.
- Refillable phone card
- a rechargeable phone card that can be refilled. Besides it offers the following features: Permanent PIN, PIN-Free access, balance transfer option, unlimited expiration period.
- Rounding
- This unit applies to determine the phone call duration. The standard minute rounding for prepaid phone cards is one minute, but there are also two and three minutes rounding phone cards. There is the first 1-second rounding phone card on the market.
- Service Taxes and Surcharges
- These taxes may be taken from the phone card's balance for every phone call you made. The taxes for our phone cards vary from 0% to 15%. If you bought a card with the rate 10 c/min, the tax is 10% the minute of talk time will cost 11 cents.
- Toll Free Access number
- To use prepaid phone cards you should dial an 11 digits number. It is a Toll Free access number. It usually begins with 800, 866, 877 or 888.
- Validity period
- phone card's duration period. The Validity period starts after the first phone call was made. There are phone cards with limited and unlimited expiration periods on our website. The unlimited cards should be refilled at least once in 6 month.
